Dead Horse State Park does not have nearly the fame of Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park in Utah. Yet, it is sandwiched between the two national parks. It offers views and geology that rivals the others. This state park has a nice in-and-out road with jump-off spots for the visitors center, overlooks, hiking, and mountain biking. Seeing the geological strata exposed by millions of years of river, wind, and rain erosion plus the contortions of shifting continents makes for some fascinating viewing. If you go to any of the nearby “biggies”, stop by here, too!
