The Coupeville Halloween Torchlight Parade is an annual small town tradition that brings out the neighbors to enjoy costumes, catch up on chatting, and get in some pre-Halloween cheer. The event starts in Cooks Corner Park, with everyone milling around and running into others. Judges wander through the crowd and make secret votes on the best costumes in various categories, with winners announced at the end of the parade. Then the parade procession begins. The entire length of the parade is three short blocks, going down Main Street and turning left onto Front Street before it ends near the Wharf. Candy is given out by volunteers along the way. Everyone cheers everyone else on with support.
