The Coupeville Memorial Day Parade is one of the oldest such events on the West Coast, and is one of only two in Washington state. This year’s parade marched loudly down Main Street and included a fly-over by a Navy helicopter, many shiny antique cars and motorcycles, Pearl Harbor survivors, bagpipe marching band, fire and police departments, dogs doing tricks, and kids throwing out candy. It completed at an open community picnic at the local town park.
