Zero Project Photographic Airplane Plane On Fire In Seattle Washington

We had to push through a hole in a chain link fence by the road to join this little escapade: the Zero Project. An artist of Japanese heritage created a life-size mockup of a World War II Japanese Zero plane. The entire mockup was formed from 3″X5″ photographs of a small plastic Zero model that he had made as a kid, with only a few strategically placed pieces of wood to help hold up the fuselage. After the Sun set for the day, he set the entire piece on fire to liberate himself and others from the personal, emotional, and political effects of World War II. Here you see the fuselage burning down to the ground.
