The National Ornamental Metal Museum is an unexpected attraction in Memphis, located on a high bank above the Mississippi River. The museum includes a fairly wide range of exhibits, including gallery shows of very fine metalwork, jewelry, artistic forms, and experiments. Another building includes more historical and heavier duty metal objects. A fully functioning metal shop and forge is open to the public for viewing. And the grounds have larger metal sculptures sprinkled all around. Worth a visit if metal art and its processes are of interest.
