The Port Ludlow Marina is well situated for fun exploring of the shorelines north of Hood Canal by the Olympic Peninsula. You can have rentals of small skiff power boats, stand up paddle boards, and kayaks to suit your fancy, and top it off with food at a good local cafe.
By renting a skiff power boat, a wide range of possibilities opens up. Within a couple hour tour, the Hood Canal Bridge can be circumnavigated, Port Gamble can be viewed from the water, and the tour can be extended a bit longer up north to Mats Mats Bay. The Olympic Mountains loom to the west, Mt Rainier hovers to the south, and tree-lined shores abound. Fun stuff for a family outing!
