Beale Street is a renowned music and nightlife hot spot in downtown Memphis, known especially for its many blues musicians and good southern food. While there, we saw the sights and sounds, including live music that is easy to find virtually every night of the week. For dinner, it was authentic and fried: fried catfish, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, fried hush puppies, and then a tangent with fried Twinkies for desert!
