Macy’s sponsors and runs its famous Thanksgiving Parade the day after Thanksgiving each year. It’s Black Friday shopping day after all, so it gets lots of people downtown. The parade offers a classic range of sights and sounds: waving people, candy throwers, the mayor, dancing troupes, marching bands, clowns, lots of floats, classic cars, and occasional surprises. Good family fun, especially if tied together with other downtown holiday attractions such as The Teddy Bear Suite and the Gingerbread Village.
