Every year for the past 26 years, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) has hosted a fun competition between top local architecture firms and culinary teams. The goal: Make terrific sculptural representations of the year’s theme almost entirely from edible components, and gather optional donations from viewers for JDRF’s charitable cause.

For 2018, the theme was “Welcome To Whoville”, based on Dr. Seuss’s “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” children’s book. Five different scenes were presented, and the sculptural artistry was evident. There was a long line to get in, yet it was impressive once in to see the creations.

The edible creations in the pictures below are each 7 feet tall.
